Theresa started playing music at age six, first learning piano and later adding violin, flute and viola. She co-founded Tunefoolery in 1994 and studied Viola Performance at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. Theresa’s flexibility in playing across various styles (Western classical, Early Music, Folk and Ottoman Art Music) keeps her busy within Tunefoolery and beyond. She delights in playing the violin as often as possible, from Tunefoolery’s recording studio in Boston’s South End and porches in Somerville to weddings on remote Swedish islands. Theresa is a member of The Makam Healing Project, Orkestra Marhaba, and TAIL, a local Americana/Roots/Folk band.
