Joy
Vocal
My life with music started the day I was born. My Aunt Flo knew back then that I was born to sing because, as she said, I have some set of pipes.
I've been in multiple community productions, in 3 choruses, and have taken voice lessons at NEC at Boston Conservatory.
I honor my teacher, Karen Shepherd, who gifted me with the basics of voice and performance, and respect for myself and the art of living.
I found people dedicated to music in community during the COVID lockdown at the weekly Tunefoolery Zoom open mic. Through them, I have performed at rehabs, Pace, assisted housing, and at various events. Best of all, I perform at a memory care unit where we awaken to the life of music.
I am an old movie buff. I'm a recovering FB addict. I belong to a Buddhist sangha. I join a daily Zoom Sufi prayer ritual.
Oh, I was in a clown troop.
I thank Tunefoolery for including me in their… our… precious community.
Oh, I was on stage with Baryshnikov.
