Freeana

Vocals, Native American flutes, Recorder, Didgeridoo, Keyboard, Middle Eastern Doumbek

A free spirit and a lifelong musician, talented multi-instrumentalist Freeana traverses a range of continents and styles to create her healing world music. Freeana graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 1984, where she majored in classical viola performance and minored in saxophone; she picked up her first recorder around 35 years ago, and her musical repertoire today includes Native American flutes, hand percussion, and the didgeridoo as well. Freeana has performed professionally in orchestras such as Rochester Philharmonic; throughout Europe, including at the Heidleberg Castle Festival in Germany; and for years in the Boston area as one half of the local duo Freeana and Rosen—as well as with Tunefoolery for nearly 25 years. Today, Freeana has a dedicated online international following. When she is not practicing her instruments and taking didgeridoo lessons, she enjoys being in nature and taking in good art. Her albums are available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes
